The questions we receive most often about emoticon commissions and character IP collaboration.
STICONLAB is a character studio that creates emoticons and stickers. We develop our own character IP — Dudi, Durae, Berry and Doto — and release it on OGQ, LINE and KakaoTalk, while also taking on emoticon commissions and character IP collaborations for other brands.
It depends on the scope. Pricing changes based on whether a new character is designed or an existing one is adapted, whether the set is static or animated, and how many designs are included. Tell us where it will be used and what you have in mind, and we will send a quote.
It varies with scope and schedule. Starting from character development takes longer than adapting an existing character, and platform review time is separate. Share your target date and we will confirm whether it is feasible first.
OGQ Market, LINE Stickers and KakaoTalk Emoticons. Each platform has different specifications and review criteria, so we agree on the target platform first and build to that standard.
No. Approval is decided by the platform and is outside a studio's control. What we take responsibility for is meeting each platform's specifications and raising the quality of the proposal based on known rejection patterns.
It is set by contract. Full transfer to the client and a licence limited to an agreed scope are both possible. Tell us the intended use and duration and we will propose a suitable arrangement.
Yes. We produce both static and animated sets, built to each platform's frame count and file size requirements.
Yes. We adapt existing brand characters and mascots to emoticon formats. The core of that work is making expressions and motion readable at small sizes.
Yes. LINE Stickers reach Japan, Taiwan and other global markets, and this site is available in Korean, English, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, Thai and Spanish.
